Future and Lil Uzi Vert have dropped their highly anticipated album Baby x, Pluto Baby, on Friday, 13th November. This comes a few months after they released their joint records “Patek” and “Over Your Head”.
Both Future and Lil Uzi Vert performances on this album are top notches. What’s impressive is the way their voices play off each other. Their synergy delivered on the promise their combination offered. Lil Uzi Vert’s growth as a trapper is what brought this album together.
From the intro, Tic Tac, they set the tone for this album. Lil Uzi’s rap flows on this track was very Ski Mask the Slump god-esque. Sonically, he killed it. His ad-libs were everything and more. His songwriting has improved considerably during his retirement. He carried over his good form from Eternal Atake to this album. Someone rarely outshines Future on a track but he did. This is not a slight at Future at all, he had a really solid verse.
On My Legacy, Future makes us a little nostalgic with the Dirty Sprite 2-esque flows here. Lil Uzi vert showed his newfound versatility to the way he delivers his hooks.
Because of you is the most surprising track of the album. It just might have opened up a new genre: Electric-trap. It combines two unique genres in Electric music and Trap. Their voices playing off each other on each line at the beginning of this track was exactly what this song needed.
Baby Sasuke is where new Lil Uzi Vert comes into his element and shows how dexterous his voice is. At a point in the song, he plays off his voice, interchanging between his auto-tuned voice and a deeper version of himself. That was pure genius. Future does something similar towards the end of the track, he nails it and the only complaint is that it’s too short also.

Sleeping on the floor is the first true opportunity we get to hear either of them provide ad-libs for the other. Lil Uzi Vert provided ad-libs for Future and himself. I can’t appreciate what he does on this track enough.
It’s is obvious at this point why there are no features on this album. Lil Uzi Vert is multitasking so much on this
This is one of the rare albums where the length doesn’t affect the sonic quality. The album is a complete trap album. This album is a 7/10.
