Rapper Megan Thee Stallion’s debut is one of the most anticipated records of 2020, given that she made headlines almost every month this year.
Megan’s career has been as hot as her tabloid features, from her gunshot which involved rapper Tory Lanez, to a tik tok challenge, a number 1 record with Beyoncé, another number 1 collab with Cardi that championed another challenge.
Her album first track is the long-awaited discourse everyone has been waiting for, her musical address of the altercation with Tory. Her story is still consistent, and she goes ahead to discredit his version of the event on his album DAYSTAR, “Talkin’ ’bout bones and tendons like them bullets wasn’t pellets / A pussy nigga with a pussy gun in his feelings”.

From her widely successful EP ‘Suga’, her raunchy collab ‘WAP’ which ruled the summer’s airwave, ‘Hot Girl Summer’ which ruled last summer airwave, you already know when you hear Megan, expect the record to exude sex appeal and some rich girl flex.
One of the biggest hit from the album already is ‘Body’, which debuted with a video featuring some of Hollywood’s hottest girls including Taraji P. Henson, and Jordyn Wood. This also has launched a new tik tok challenge, which Megan is no stranger and is evident that it is only a matter of time before she gets another number 1 record.

From A-List features including Dababy, Lil Durk, Mustard, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Young Thug, Popcaan, Beyoncé, and three females with whom a dirty record is not complete without, SZA and the City Girls. The sample tracks are just as A-List most notably a Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg sample and the intro track sampling Notorious B.I.G.
It is well established that Megan is “classy, bougie, ratchet”, on her album, she shows that she can handle herself on a full album, and her pen game needs no contention. The album is a 7.8/10.
