AZANTI, the 17-year-old kid on the block, has found the right mentor for his music growth. Psycho YP is already releasing his 8th project and he’s not slowing down any time soon.
What you get when you combine Psycho YP that is willing to experiment with his trap sounds and Azanti, a talented songwriter is something brimming with promise. Psycho YP has not been afraid to venture into afro-pop and drill, showing a dexterity that most other trappers on the Nigerian scene do not normally have.
On this work, Psycho YP ventures into an RnB fusion a couple of times. It creates a nice mix especially as he can squeeze some trap on to those songs.
Azanti is a really promising songwriter and Afropop singer. He has spoken about adding some variety with a drill. Listening to what he does sonically on these tracks, it is safe to say he is a hit song away from being a mainstream artist. He doesn’t seem like he will be a one-hit-wonder.

There is still some way to go for Pyscho YP in terms of having originality lyric-wise, not just trapping about his dream Rolls Royce Wraith and other fast cars.
Posted Up and Nobody is the R&B/TrapSoul solos that were a necessity on this album. Posted Up sees Azanti use his dexterity with hooks and his songwriting to deliver on his solo track. Long Way from Home is YP’s moment to shine trap wise.
Nobody is one of the best R&B songs that Nigeria has seen in 2020. Sonically, this album is solid as well as production-wise. Lyrically, there’s room for improvement but overall it’s solid composition throughout. The album is a 7.2/10.
